As some of you may know I joined Red & White at the beginning of June and whilst I am a (very) enthusiastic wine drinker my backround is not in the wine trade. In fact for the past 4 years I have been running Cranch's Sweetshop in Totnes
My wine education is in the hands of Chris Eastman, the Shop Manager and Liam Steevonson, the Proprietor of Red & White and one of only 280 Masters of Wine in the World. (Interesting Fact: More people have been into space than have achieved the Master of Wine Qualification!) They are both amazingly knowledgeable and passionate about the subject - I could scarcely have a better introduction into the fascinating world of wine. In this blog I want to share with you my experiences of tasting new and exciting wines as a relative novice and some of my thoughts and feelings about the wines I've sampled.
